The energy of Rising Roll Gourmet Café greets you as you walk in the door of this truly unique restaurant. Innovative thinking is behind every one of the made from scratch recipes, gourmet sandwiches, breakfast items, and baked goods.

When the first Rising Roll Gourmet Café opened in 1999 under the name “Uptown Gourmet” the focus was on quality and variety, serving only lunch and lunch catering. Over the years, we have taken our 100 year old family recipes, blended them with chef driven cutting edge new flavor profiles and created a large variety of dining options, while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction. We have recently expanded our menu to include “Gluten Reduced and Vegan” options. For us, it is about a memorable experience that creates brand loyalty.

As the popularity of our brand grew, emphasis was placed on expanding the company through a franchising growth strategy and we now have retail and nontraditional locations in a number of states with sites in Class A high rise buildings, hospital buildings, and on multiple university campuses.

USA Today ranks Rising Roll Gourmet Café as the “nation’s best for a sandwich.” We have also been ZAGAT rated multiple years with an “EXCELLENT” rating for food quality and noted as a “Best Bang for the Buck” concept highlighting the value of our product.
